JILLIAN

Who am I?

I’m a Sport and Exercise Psychologist.
 
Why might you see me?
 
My specialities are working in elite professional sport, especially football and Muay Thai. I regularly work with athletes, clubs and coaches on mistake management, transitions, resilience, self-confidence, aggression control and decision making.

My style

I use different models of therapy, best suited to my client and their needs, this varies from PCT, CBT, ACT and mindfulness.

My research

My research focuses on transitioning up a level in sport. I hope to develop a framework to enable practitioners, clubs and organisations to best support athletes through their transitions.

JEMMA

Who am I?

I’m a Practitioner Health Psychologist
 

Why might you see me?

I have experience in bereavement, health anxiety, weight management and anxiety & depression particularly in relation to caregiving and physical illness.
 

My style

I use a person-centred approach to help you decide how best to move forward and depending on your preference and goals that may include using Person-centred therapy, CBT, ACT & or CFT

My research

My research interests centre around experience of healthcare communication, cancer care, male specific cancer and social care consultancy.

REBECCA

Who am I?

I’m a Sport and Exercise psychologist

Why might you see me?

I have worked within a variety of sport settings, ranging from elite youth academies, collegiate sport and various competitive clubs. I also have experience working with individual athletes, coaches and groups to provide tailored support and deliver consultancy projects on performance preparation strategies, managing nerves, thought challenging and development of mental skills for performance.

My style

I adopt a pluralistic approach for support which means that I use a variety therapeutic approaches and techniques that vary depending on what fits best with individual needs. This may include the use of CBT, PCT, ACT or CFT.

My research

My main research interests are in performance preparation, particularly the use and functions that pre-performance routines provide to sport performance and within performance psychology as a whole.

Who am I?

I’m a Practitioner Health Psychologist

Why might you see me?

My specialties include weight management, pain management, health anxiety, depression, anxiety & self-compassion.

My style

I use CBT, ACT & CFT, and motivational interviewing to help people work toward health-based goals. 

My research

My research interests include obesity services, pain management, social support, social care consultancy, population health & men’s health.
